Editorial Reviews

Afraid that the lowest of the brass wasn't getting enough attention, Meredith Vieira adds her voice to the tale of Tubby the Tuba: Play It Happy, narrating his adventures and trials. There are two stories, "Tubby the Tuba," in which a classical orchestra performs, and "Tubby the Tuba Meets a Jazz Band," which explores the many uses of the instrument, as well as a bonus track narrated by Paul Tripp, "The Story of Celeste." Everything is done in a fun, yet educational manner, making it a nice, motivational album for young children. Marisa Brown, All Music Guide

July 02, 2009: Memories of childhood come back at the sound of this wonderful children's album. The narrator is so pleasant to listen to; Paul Tripp sounds like the original narrator, but Meridith's voice is more soothing. What a wonderful way to introduce you child to the nuances of an orchestra! I am so glad that Meridith Vieira has brought Tuby back to todays children.
