About This Item

The third volume of Barnes & Noble's exclusive series, Sunday Music, captures a distinctive mood through voices both familiar and brand-new. The collection offers the languorous majesty of Cassandra Wilson on “Closer to You” and the hard-earned renewal of Katie Herzig’s “Wish You Well.” The raw yearning in “When Your Mind’s Made Up,“ by the Oscar®-winning duo (from “Once”) The Swell Season, follows the achingly lovely “Cinema Paradiso Main Theme,” as interpreted by jazz giants Charlie Haden and Pat Metheny. In addition there are reflective, down-tempo tracks from Angelique Kidjo, Feist, and many more. As always, the collection boasts a raft of exclusive remixes. See more Sunday Music CDs

October 01, 2008: I just got Sunday Music 1 last week and saw that 3 had come out and grabbed it. This series is rad. All the bands are pretty indie, and some of them I haven't heard of. Favorite song is A Sunday Smile by Beirut, and I've never even heard of them. Thank you Sunday Music for making this music known!
