The first of a trio of very nice albums compiling themes and cues from French films ranging from Jean le Florette to Diva. There are brief excursions into electronic music (Mark Ayres adapting the work of Vangelis and Eric Serra), but the majority is sometimes thoughtful, sometimes perky, with stretches that would nicely grace any space-age bachelor pad.
