Sixteen tracks of pure adrenaline hardcore in 24 minutes, S.M.D.'s Hatefed Motherfucker 666 is breathtaking for fans of the style. There are no potentially tainting outside influences to be had here, no grindcore horror-show theatrics or political posturing to dissipate the trio's loud-fast-rules blasts. That said, to anyone who doesn't like hardcore punk, Hatefed will almost come across as a parody of the genre, from the title and cover logo -- destined to decorate skateboards and denim jackets across the land -- to songs like "Motherfucker 666," "Drunk and Pissed" and "Fuck Shit Up."
