This is a simple repackage of Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour's first two solo albums in a cardboard sleeve. The X2 series does feature the remastered versions, but there is no substantial discount for purchasing them this way. Musically, these records range all over the place. The first of them, the self-titled one, is easily the better of the two because it provides a logical extension of the work Gilmour was doing with Floyd at the time. About Face is a much more polished affair and is inconsistent in terms of songwriting and structure. It does contain the beautiful "Love on the Air," which was featured as a single from the date.
