The New York indie band French was formed by former Flower members Ian James and Andrew Bordwin. (The other half of Flower splintered off into Versus.) With James on guitar and vocals, Bordwin on drums, and Maria Ocanto on bass, French released a pair of EPs in 1996 on the Bear label: French and French 2. Andy Kellman
