Brazilian experimental music performer Diana Miranda recorded her debut album in 1992. Combining African rhythms, traditional local music, and elements of jazz fusion, the artist created her own style, recognized by prominent musicians and producers such as Quincy Jones, who invited her to Montreux Jazz Festival in 1993. A year later, her second album, called Live In Montreux, recorded at Miles Davis Hall, was successfully released. In the mid-'90s, Diana Miranda became a main number in experimental and jazz-oriented festivals such as Rome Jazz, World Rhythms, and Moncalvo. In 1999, Diana Miranda recorded her third album, called Nerdestina. Drago Bonacich
