Waterson:Carthy
One of Martin Carthy's many side projects, this one is purely a family affair, with wife Norma Waterson, daughter Eliza Carthy on fiddle, and son-in-law Saul Rose on melodeon, comprising this purveyor of traditional British folk music. As a group they are monstrously talented, with exceptional group harmonies, as well as outstanding instrumental prowess. True students of their art, they are able to arrange ancient songs into something new and challenging, without detracting from the spirit or beauty of the originals. Matt Fink
