With a Smile and a Song: Best of Film Cartoon Songs compiles original recordings of favorite tunes from the Disney features Dumbo, Pinocchio, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Bambi, as well as tunes from the Disney short Farmyard Symphony. The tracks heard on this collection include a slight hiss due to the era of the recordings (late '30s, early '40s), but as a plus, the selections (since they're the original film versions) include the classic accompanying dialogue, as with the crow scene lead-in to "When I See an Elephant Fly" and reactions of Jiminy Cricket and the theater owner to Pinocchio's "I've Got No Strings" performance.
