About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

The latest in a succession of young, camera-friendly tenors who deliver romantic pop with operatic pipes, Vittorio may be the most gifted "popera" singer to come along since Andrea Bocelli hit it big. He's so smooth, in fact, that he turned down an invitation from Simon Cowell to join the sensational all-male quartet Il Divo, aiming instead to make it as a solo act. If this self-titled debut is any indication, we'll be hearing a lot more from this talented Italian crooner. The program hits the usual notes: pulling together lushly produced, ardently emotional ballads in Italian, Spanish, and English; spicing the mix with Latin rhythms on "Magia de Amor," "Fuerte," and "Querida"; and adding dashes of classic Broadway and opera tunes with "Maria" and "Butterfly Forever." A shout-out to Stevie Wonder, by way of an Italian version of "All in Love Is Fair," and a duet with the Pussycat Dolls' Nicole Scherzinger on "You Are My Miracle" fill out the tenor's tour through crossover country. In lesser hands, it might seem like a retread of an over-familiar formula. But Vittorio has the expressive élan and vocal goods -- including gorgeous, soft high notes -- to make it all sound fresh again. EJ Johnson, Barnes & Noble

July 26, 2007: Beautiful "romantic" music,on Vittorio's debut album.I had never heard about this guy before i stumbled onto his music ,on another site. And am i ever glad that i found him!His voice is "out of this world"BEAUTIFUL'!PASSIONATE,TENDER,and POWERFUL,all at the same time....and he is "the real deal"!He is a tenor ,with an extensive opera training. And has sung in many productions. Here he sings in at least 3 different languages,Italian,Spanish, and English.Lush piano and Spanish guittarr, and a symphony orchestra ,adds to the very romantic feeling ,on all the lovley ballads. Lucky for us ,that he did not join "IL DIVO"!I think he will be a big star ,on his own merits. His career seems to have taken off!If you like Josh Groban,IL Divo,Russell Watson or Andrea Bocchelli....Give Vittorio a good listen.Chances are that you may really like what you hear.Thank you Vittorio, for touching my heart and soul, with your amazing voice.

July 11, 2007: Better than Andrea Bocelli or Josh Groban, Vittorio possesses a voice that can either blow you away or melt you like butter. He has one of the most perfect voices I have ever heard! The only reason I gave this album four stars instead of five is because of the song choices. As a successful opera singer, Vittorio should have included a couple arias in this mix of popra music. However, this still is a wonderful album that I would highly recommend!
