About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Although Natalie Cole had been a highly successful pop/R & B singer, Unforgettable launched her on a new career as a standards singer. Here Cole pays homage to her father, legendary singer Nat "King" Cole, by performing many of his classic hits. The result is a glorious tribute to an unparalleled artist, performed with skill and obvious affection. Cole charms with bouncy numbers such as "Orange Colored Sky," "L-O-V-E," and "Paper Moon," and dazzles with poignant ballads such as "Mona Lisa." And she tugs the heartstrings with the title track, a "duet" with her father that was, of course, created technologically. Well worth all the accolades --Unforgettable earned six Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year -- this labor of love preserves the integrity of these incomparable songs while introducing them to a new generation of music lovers. November 06, 2002: I was introduced to Natilie Cole at a very young age and she is one of my favorite artist, I have listened to her since I was little and I still love her music. Her songs helped me fall asleep at night and to make the long car rides much more enjoyable. I think her music is both inspiring and fun, her songs are short and sweet and very catchy. Some of my favoirite songs are smile, orange colored sky and of coarse Unforgetable. I dont think I will ever stop liking and listening to her music. I have every cd that she has made and I also like Nat King Cole as well they both have the same song writting style and how natilie uses her fathers songs and made them more of her own. The cd makes me see how her and her father had a strong bond and that shows through the songs and lyrics on the cd. I will always love natilie Cole and I dont think I will ever stop listening to it.
