September 28, 2009: Trevor Hall has been making unique and moving music for some time but it is nice to see this all come together on this CD. Trevor's efforts here achieve a new level of spirituality and soulfullness previous recordings did not possess. The CD implores the listener and the human race overall to unite, find peace and get along. He references the "higher power" quite frequently, but I never felt "thrust upon" regarding my own belief system.
The music itself and the unique tone and rhythm of Trevor's voice would be entertaining enough, even without his urgent message to the listener delivered through his lyrics. This recording also exhibits a fuller range from Trevor musically, both in terms of pace and delivery. My favorites include the previously released Lime Tree, Unity and Origami Crane. Trevor evokes the need for us all to find a simpler life filled with respect of all of our fellow men and women. Trevor makes no apologies for what stirs in his soul and the lessons in life he learned from his family as he lays out a revealing and personally-baring effort with no apologies. None needed Trevor. It all works well as it ebbs and flows with power and tenderness. Matisyahu joins him on the bonus track of Unity on the CD, but it really is evident that Trevor easily stands on his own.Reader Rating:

July 29, 2009: Trevor Hall was first recommended to me about a year ago by a friend. Really enjoyed his first two self produced albums and wondered if this new one would reach my high expectations (or end up over produced). With out a doubt this is his best yet. One way to describe it would be a mix of Jack Johnson, Bob Marley and a little Dave Matthews. Basically it's just pretty original. Some highlights:
