Editorial Reviews
As far as redundant soundtracks filled with emo-driven blasts of distortion and electronic trickery go, TVT's collection of tracks both created for and inspired by Transporter 2 isn't too bad. French composer Alexandre Azaria's dutifully atmospheric score is peppered throughout, and it plays like a cross between The Matrix and a late-period Bond film, relying on both melodic orchestral cues and tense keyboard sampling to flesh out the atmosphere around Jason Statham's brooding special forces operative. Highlights include the Pink Floyd-meets-Kraftwerk pulse of Grand National's "Talk Amongst Yourselves," Indonesian pop goddess Anggun's sensual "Saviour," and the bedroom electronica of Mylo.
