Editorial Reviews

A well-executed lullaby can provide comfort to the child in each of us. 'Til Their Eyes Shine ... The Lullaby Album is a collection of touching songs offered by a dozen female performers to youngsters of all ages. Highlights include Mary-Chapin Carpenter's "Dreamland," and Emmylou Harris' "Child Of Mine," Carole King's "If I Didn't Have You To Wake Up To," and the gorgeous, gaelic, "Dún Do Shúile," by Maura O'Connell. Other contributors are Rosanne Cash, Laura Nyro, Kate & Anna McGarrigle, Gloria Estafan, Denise Williams, Brenda Russell and Dionne Warwick. The artists are donating their royalties to the Voiceless Victims project of the US-based Institute for Intercultural Understanding. Roch Parisien, All Music Guide

May 26, 2006: Actual words from my grandchild's lips when listening to this wonderful CD with his mother. I had no idea my "daughter" loved this CD and had been renting it from the library when I ordered it for her. She is so pleased to have her own copy that she won't "have to relinquish."

July 13, 2004: A couple of the songs always brought tears to my eyes as I held my son and listened or sang to it. There's a line in "Carrie" about us choosing each other, and since we adopted him, that had special meaning. He's now 10, but I'm buying a new copy for ME and several to give as part of my standard baby gift.
