July 23, 2009: Thriving ivory the band off the west coast that was vh1's top upcoming band of 2008, provide listeners with a pretty strong first album effort. While for some lead singer clayton stroope, vocal style make take a bit of getting used too, i found his voice to blend to the music perfectly. The band whose piano and strong guitar driven style shows from the opening track Runaway, and flows right through the top 40 hit angels on the moon, and alien. On the song Hey lady, the band delivers a powerful and emotional plea to a lost love, and a very memorable line with and just like cowboys need cowgirls i need you tonight. while some of the lyrics will seem a bit sappy, the music is a great blend of alt guitar and piano. 12 tracks make up this album and I would say 8 of these are great. This album is worth the price and thriving ivory should enjoy a good level of success for quite some time.

November 04, 2008: For a new-and-coming artist, this first CD is perfect. Not only are the songs and vocals original, but they sound just as great on a disk as they do live. You will not regret picking up this CD!
