There's no stopping the junior divas of Destiny's Child. With an ever-evolving lineup, they have released four albums in four years, so it's no surprise that they keep up their strike-while-the-curling-iron's-hot pace and release a remix collection, à la J. Lo. This Is a Remix features praiseworthy contributions from beat masterminds such as Wyclef (early hits "No, No No, Part 2," and "Bug A Boo"), Jermaine Dupri (a hip-hop remix of "Jumpin' Jumpin' " featuring Da Brat and Lil' Bow Wow), Timbaland (a smooth R&B reworking of "Say My Name"), and Rockwilder (a sexy, mid-tempo remix of "Bootylicious" featuring Missy Elliott). But it's the Neptunes who show the most flair, as they transform DC's syrupy rendering of the Bee Gees ballad "Emotion" into a bluesy, organ- and snare-assisted groove that pushes the ladies' intricate harmonies to the fore. The latest Destiny lineup is a trio featuring newest member Michelle Williams, whose delicate vocal chops are displayed on a bonus track drawn from her forthcoming gospel album, My Heart to Yours. For Destiny's Child, three seems to be the magic number. Tracy E. Hopkins, Barnes & Noble
