Rock's Best Rap Recordby Anonymous

October 29, 2006: Villebillies are undoubtely a creative force on the contemporary music scene. Eschewing the pitfalls of both stylistic dead ends and the triumph of style over substance, this ten piece outfit have cut one of the albums of the year. Their secret is a simple one, namely combing meaningful and at times humorous lyrics with some killer grooves and crucial playing. Beyond that the band somehow mix Rap, Rock, Funk, Blues and Country, finishing with a big Rap Rock finale that meets a string section head on! The band have already scored local hits with 'Burning Down The House', and it can't be long before the humorous take on alcoholism 'Mr Brown Bag' delivers them a follow up hit. Being a white ten piece band from Lousiville KY, cant make things easy for the outfit, but this album has the pontial to cross over many markets and convert even the most recalcitarnt rock fan. One of the albums of the year!
