String Quartet Tribute to a Perfect Circle draws from the melodic post-grungers' two albums of original material. Featuring songs like "3 Libras," "Blue," and in particular "Hollow," the set is entirely instrumental, being performed on violin, viola, cello, and double bass. While some of the pieces here seem somewhat directionless, there is a palpable transfer of Perfect Circle's particular tension and urgency, even without the distinctive vocals of Maynard James Keenan.
