Unlike the two significant Betty Wright compilations released by Rhino -- 1992's The Best of Betty Wright and 2000's reheated The Very Best of Betty Wright -- The Platinum Collection sticks completely to the material the singer released on Atlantic, from 1968 through 1973. It contains all nine of the charting singles released during this time, including "Clean Up Woman," "Girls Can't Do What the Guys Do," and "Baby Sitter," and judging from the strength of the lower-charting singles and album tracks, having only the biggest hits on various-artists comps won't cut it. The Best of Betty Wright: The TK Years, as you can judge by its title, ably covers the later years with no overlap. Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
