Guitarist Oscar Moore, who will always be best-known for his years with the Nat King Cole Trio, had a couple of opportunities to record as a leader in the mid-'50s but despite the worthy music, his solo career never caught on. This CD reissue of a Tampa LP matches the swing guitarist with pianist Carl Perkins, bassist Joe Comfort and drummer Lee Young for a brief easy-listening set of standards and basic originals. Nice music. Scott Yanow, All Music Guide
