After taking a few years off of his solo recording career, Jon Gibson returned in 1999 with The Man Inside, which continued his approach of blending blue-eyed soul-pop with adult contemporary flavors. Throughout the album, Gibson proves himself a solid craftsman, and his performances are polished enough to make the weaker material not so noticeable.
