It goes without saying, but any release credited to Teddy Pendergrass is a collection of love songs. Nonetheless, The Right Stuff put together The Love Songs Collection in 2004, and it contains many of the songs you see on most other Pendergrass compilations: "Love T.K.O.," "Turn Off the Lights," "Close the Door," "The More I Get, the More I Want," "Come Go With Me," "The Love I Lost," and several others. At 17 tracks, it certainly tops all the cheap jobs done by fly-by-night budget labels throughout the years, but it's far from definitive. You'd do better with just about any other Pendergrass set released by The Right Stuff. Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
