Released by Quinland Road, this deluxe box repackages Loreena McKennitt's first three recordings -- Elemental, To Drive the Cold Winter Away, and Parallel Dreams -- and includes a bonus disc with two live tracks, "The Bonny Swans" and "The Lady of Shallott"; a pair of versions, one of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" and the other a previously unreleased Spanish version of "Dante's Prayer"; as well as a remix of "The Mummers Dance." Fans will most likely have this, but it's a fine box to present to the uninitiated as a gift. [Verve's 2008 edition included a bonus CD.] Thom Jurek, All Music Guide
