Contained within: 32 reasons a man could change his name from royalty to simply "The Artist" and have millions of people go along with it. In addition, there are four unreleased tracks and an entire CD of B Sides. And as if all that weren't enough, this box set programs the two CDs of hits like a good party tape rather than a museum retrospective. "If I was your Girlfriend" segues into "Kiss" on one disc; "1999" segues into "I Could Never Take the Place of your Man," on the other. Prince was clearly the most creative and active musical genius to emerge in the '80s, and these three CDs show off his range and brilliance. At the time of this 1993 release, the musical genius said that he would never make another record.
