About this Artist

About This Item

Nashville-based duo Sam & Ruby gently blend R&B, folk and pop into a sound so immediately warm and welcoming that falling in love with their debut album is a foregone conclusion. Ruby Amanfu boasts a sophisticated, soulful voice with gospel-like conviction. It beautifully complements Sam Brooker's relaxed, confident approach, his voice balanced somewhere between the bar room and the back porch. They aim to reach both the head and the heart and a few other parts as well: The Here And The Now will surely inspire more than a few couples to get up and dance close and slow. From the Label

August 12, 2009: Amazing duo with a dynamic chemistry that inspires love and deep soulful thought. Sam and Ruby have are a unique blend of folk, R&B, with enough pop to make you want to sing along. It is my favorite CD this summer and I can see myself going to the pool and rocking out for hours to this music.

Great tracks: Sarah, Heaven's My Home, Suitcase Song
