The Greatest Arabic Songs is a 14-track compilation of classic Arabic music. This is a very good collection, showing the variety of instruments and vocal styles used in Arabic music. Some listeners may take issue with the lengthy running time of most of the songs, but the music is fascinating in its complexity. Anyone who is interested in hearing a form of music rarely heard in English-speaking countries would benefit from giving this album a chance; it is a good starting point.
