February 25, 2005: This is an excellent disk for those who like gospel with a southern flavor. I believe Otis Clay has one of the best voices in the business. He is backed by awesome musicians here as he sings some soulful songs to the Saviour in the traditional '50s & '60s style. The recording dates vary, as do the musicians so the quality is a little uneven though always professional. It's for the singing I keep coming back to this - sanctified and passionate. This material was also issued on the Rounder label with live bonus tracks, the superior, On My Way Home. Unfortunately it appears to be out of print.
