While hardcore Rare Earth fans may be put off by the omission of the epic versions of "(I Know) I'm Losing You" and "Get Ready" -- they appear here in their three- to four-minute single versions -- Universal/Spectrum's Collection offers the casual listener a far more diverse listening experience than Motown's seven-track Millennium Collection. All of the radio hits ("I Just Want to Celebrate," "Born to Wander," "Hey Big Brother") are here (with the unfortunate exception of "Ma"), making this a bargain for both new and old listeners.
