Naturally, The Christmas Collection finds the photogenic four lending their pipes to traditional carols and seasonal favorites, rather than the love songs of their first outing, but there's still a seductive side to their singing -- with such robust, expressive voices, it's hard for them not to sound romantic. If songs like "White Christmas" bring out the tender and nostalgic side of Il Divo -- they croon their way through a charming arrangement that shifts to Spanish in the middle -- they also create a truly reverent mood on sacred hymns like Schubert's "Ave Maria" and Franck's "Panis Angelicus."
