About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

The ultimate New Traditionalist factory songwriter, Overstreet's best work is the series of hits he wrote (usually with Don Shlitz) for Randy Travis in the 1980s. On his own, as evidenced by this collection, he's a bit too obsessed with convincing everybody that he's a good Christian man who just can't wait to get home to his wife. There's more to life -- and music -- than family values, no matter how you define them. Dan Cooper, All Music Guide

October 10, 2006: It's too bad that Paul Overstreet is one of the very few artists putting out this kind of decent, uplifting music. And what's more, it is really GOOD music. It is certainly a breath of fresh air from some of the absolute garbage that passes for music today. And if you don't like the message he conveys, YOU don't have to listen to it Mr. Cooper.
