About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

For a singer that had a few big, enduring hits, Kiki Dee's discography is surprisingly bereft of hits collections: prior to this 2009 collection, the only hits comp on CD was 1995's The Very Best of Kiki Dee, a 15-track set that concentrates on her Rocket records. The Best of Kiki Dee covers much of the same ground as that 1995 set, sharing ten of the same tracks -- including "Don't Go Breaking My Heart," "I've Got the Music in Me," "Loving and Free," "First Thing in the Morning," "How Glad I Am," "Stay with Me Baby," "I Fall In Love Too Easily" -- all culled from the 2008 remasters, but this runs right into the new millennium, adding a couple of tracks she's cut with guitarist Carmelo Luggeri. These extra years help round out the compilation, making it the fullest and best Kiki Dee compilation yet assembled (although admittedly it doesn't have much competition).
