About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Madacy's The Best of John Denver is an imperfect collection, but it does contain 14 of his very best songs -- including "Rocky Mountain High," "Annie's Song," "Take Me Home, Country Roads," "Leaving on a Jet Plane," "Sunshine on My Shoulders," "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" -- which makes it worth its bargain price. August 22, 2009: John Denver was a very talented individual who stood out among the many other entertainers of his time. "The Best of John Denver" is but a taste of John's talents and his ability to help the listener understand his love and appreciation for those things and people who touched his heart and soul.

Those of us who loved his music also found his corny "far out," mop of blonde hair, wire-rimmed glasses, and big, easy grin charming and appealing, his happy-go-lucky, country boy personality infectious and fun. We miss him still.

Not the John Denver we loveby Anonymous

November 17, 2003: Recut????? Not the same is an understatement. No way would I take a winner and change it. I don't recommend this CD at all. It just isn't the John Denver we all fell in love with and it stinks to not have that obvious in the label.
