Capitol's 2005 release The Best of Dan Seals is a repackaging of the 1987 Liberty release of the same name. Although this doesn't contain all of his hits, it does have 11 of Seals' biggest contemporary country hits from the mid- and late '80s, including the number one singles "Three Time Loser," "You Still Move Me," "Bop," "Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold)," "Meet Me in Montana," "I Will Be There," and "One Friend." While it could be a little more comprehensive -- and it's hard not to think that the label could have expanded it a little bit for this reissue -- this compilation remains the best retrospective available of Seals' hitmaking prime.
