About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

When No Doubt's debut album proved a disappointment to Interscope executives, the label withdrew support from the band and refused to release them from their contract. Ironically, the group's self-produced reply, recorded during several sessions from 1993 to early 1995, turned out to be finer than the debut. The synth and new wave influences of the debut are pushed to the background and replaced by a raw sound inspired more by punk. John Bush, All Music Guide

January 21, 2005: If you can find this album, buy it. You'll love it. It makes you feel like kind of a snob because it's No Doubt's earlier work and not mainstream at all...which is kind of cool, actually.

March 20, 2003: This cd is wonderful. I never heard about it till later 2000, and I bought it instantly. From that point on it has been one of, if not, my most listened to CD. It portrays the sound No Doubt is known for and makes you want more. If you are a fan of Tragic Kingdom or any other No Doubt album, I reccommend this CD. It's great and really worth it!
