Special Features:

Featuring 16 live performances, the DVD component to Thank You is peppered with offbeat material, including a live rendition of Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion" that features both Steven Tyler and Joe Perry and a concert performance of "Sex Type Thing" that boasts Scott Weiland shedding his clothes, only to drape his nude form in the American flag. Also included are 13 bootleg performances, shot by fans and friends, as well as a dozen music videos and 121 still photographs.

Editorial Reviews

While ostensibly a greatest-hits set, Thank You seems more like a wave goodbye, given the rise of Scott Weiland's new band, Velvet Revolver, and the increasing importance of other STP-related side projects. If that's the case, it's a rousing farewell indeed, full of both the rock-god attitude and dark drama that the band projected, with a glammy flair, in the post-grunge years. Thank You's 15 songs cover the band's best-known work --"Interstate Love Song," "Sex Type Thing," and so on -- while touching on some surprises as well, via "Days of the Week" and the trippy "Lady Picture Show." An acoustic version of "Plush" (which shows the poignancy at the song's core) and a previously unreleased "All in the Suit That You Wear" round out the audio component of the disc. Yes, there's a hint of "what might've been" looming in the background here, but as much as anything, Thank You is a celebration that fans can readily join. David Sprague, Barnes & Noble
