This album sold over a million copies and yielded a diamond album for the Vila Isabel sambista Martinho da Vila. On the worst side of the album are the very hits responsible for its success, "Tá Delícia, Tá Gostoso," "Devagar, Devagarinho," "Cuca Maluca," and "Mulheres." But, on the positive side are the Afro elements of "Namoradeira," the wonderful creations of Cabana in "O Gurufim Do Cabana" and Candeia in "Em Memória de Candeia," and other composers' songs, in which the atmosphere of the community meetings of the hills are genuinely recreated with full ginga vocal renditions by Martinho.
