If T.E.V.I.N. had been recorded by an adult instead of a teenager, the album would still be impressive, but the fact that Tevin Campbell was only 14 years old when this was made makes it all the more amazing. Campbell's voice is remarkably expressive, able to handle both ballads and up-tempo dance tracks without losing confidence. When he has the right material -- like the hit single, Prince's "Round and Round" -- the results are flawless; if the material is weak, he's merely enjoyable. December 13, 2008: WOW! This debut cd has to be one of the best ever by an Artist. If you did not know the bio of Tevin Campbell, there is no way that one could tell you were listening to a kid (12,13,or 14 yrs old) singing adult music. He delivered each song with such a strong and powerful voice. His voice techiques are so unique for his age. He is one of the greatest child proteges to have come along. Such amazing voice and talents. Basically all of Tevin's cds are great! I'm not really sure what happened on the last 2, but they a really good cds as well. I own all of Tevin's cds and still listen to them today. His music is of course, timeless! Another great buy from one great Artist! I also recommend:I'm Ready, The Best of Tevin Campbell, Back to the World, Tevin Campbell.
