About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Sarah Reeves' life, like her debut, has been brief yet powerful. A mere 19 years old when she released Sweet Sweet Sound, Reeves' mastery of worship-based pop is anything but ordinary. Her young talent caught the attention of Plumb lead singer Tiffany Lee, who promptly facilitated a handshake with Sparrow Records. Reeves received a royal reception by the record label, which accommodated writing sessions with nearly every one of Nashville's star songwriters and pulled in top producers Ian Eskelin (Krystal Meyers, Remedy Drive) and Matt Bronleewe (Rebecca St. James, Plumb). The final album cuts are thus dressed with high-production quality and honed to perfection. The fact is, though, that with Reeves' mastery of her craft these songs would shine bright even had they been recorded in a bedroom with a mini cassette recorder. A mesmerizing and charming melody drives the title track on Sweet Sweet Sound, co-written by Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, Laura Story). Other album cuts resemble Paramore, Krystal Meyers, Rebecca St. James, and yes, Plumb. The disc is a mere 6 songs, which is the only downside. And a surprise, considering more than 70 songs poured out of those writing sessions. But if the small quantity was by design, it sure worked, because fans of Sarah Reeves' sure can't get enough of her inspiring music. Sarah Reeves, All Music Guide

May 28, 2009: Such an amazing voice! She has a unique tone that I love. I heard someone sing "Sweet Sweet Sound" at a worship service & had to find out who sang it. You can hear the passion she has for these songs & for her relationship with God. To be 19 & write songs like this is remarkable to me. I can picture her songs being played at anything from youth groups to huge camps like Centrifuge. Her music is definitely going to touch listeners from all places.
