About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Nothing like a traditional Irish band from California. All cynicism aside, Flogging Molly's hybrid of street punk and pub-rock is a ruckus of punch-drunk energy. Combining the folk of the Pogues with an Oi! blast by way of the Dropkick Murphys, their debut full-length Swagger provides a brew of rowdy party music that's perfect for any barroom brawl. November 22, 2008: Flogging Molly are innovators in the music world, combining multiple genres all at once. Any of their cd's would be a wise purchase by anyone who truly loves music. Dave King's lyrics and composition are wonders to behold, as well as the band's overall enthusiasm and immense talent. Bridget also is absolutely exquisite with a fiddle, something you don't hear too often anymore. The combination of guitars, both electric and acoustic, tin whistles, a fiddle, a mandolin, drums, and the accordian (not to mention anything else they might throw in) all combine to make something truly unique. A real treat to the ears!

March 20, 2005: Having Flogging Molly's "Drunken Lullabies" CD and loving to so-so-so much, I decided to get another one of their CDs. I bought me "Swagger" and enjoy it is as much as the other CD of theirs that I have. The music is still energetic, still upbeat, still just fun to rock out to and listen to and dance to at the same time! If you already like Flogging Molly, like celtic music, or have an open-mind to music, then check out the samples and if you like what you hear I recommend YOU BUY THE CD: YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!! (I sure wasn't.)
