Jorge Alfano is a learned man and spiritual healer. He is a talented musician and an ordained metaphysical minister. He created Spirit of My People with Aconcagua -- an ensemble featuring Beledo on guitar and keyboards, Randy Crafton on percussion, Fernando Otero on accordion, Hector del Curto on bandoneon, and Leonardo Suarez Paz on violin. Alfano plays several acoustic ethnic instruments, keyboards, and bass. Peter Kater recorded and co-produced the CD. These 13 pieces are smooth and deep and have soul, spirit, and fortitude. Alfano is a stickler for ethnic accuracy so there are no electronics. This is pure acoustic world music and pure bliss.
