About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Speakeasy, the third full-length Stavesacre album, ups the band's accessibility level with a greater emphasis on melodic songcraft. Their instrumental work is just as intense and aggressive as ever, and their lyrics begin to explore spirituality and Christianity in a bit more depth than before. But it's more significant that the band has taken a major step forward in terms of their songwriting skills, which helps make Speakeasy its best release to date. Steve Huey, All Music Guide

September 02, 2000: This album seriously rocks the party... The musical style is somewhat uniform but by no means copied.. It's very emotional and... Oh yeah, it's a Christian album. It rocks. Seriously. read the book. I mean, wait a minute... Well, anyway, it's a great album. It's heavy metal... Sounds sort of like Creed and Project 86 mixed.
