About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

The German group's lucrative film scoring career began here, one year before Peter Baumann left for a solo career. The trio's eerie electronica was an early inspiration for Sorcerer, director William Friedkin says in the soundtrack's liner notes. If he had known about Tangerine Dream, he says he would have used the group's music for The Exorcist. Mark Allan, All Music Guide

November 11, 2002: Perhaps because I saw the movie before hearing the album, but I feel this work by TD is amongst the most intense music I have heard. The sense of desperation and isolation is almost overwhelming. The music is quite excellent in its own right; however, if you also see the movie you will be rewarded with emotional intensity rarely experienced today in the "modern" world.
