About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

"Slip Away," yes, but also "Patches," "Snatchin' It Back," "Too Weak to Fight" and six more. The bottom line is, for the money, this is one kickin' comp of Clarence Carter's best. It may not be very long, but it's got the big dose of soul you need every now and then. These Rhino Flashback compilations -- all reissues, by the way -- are hit and miss, but this one is a bullseye, containing the best from one of the great Southern soulmen. June 29, 2009: I was so glad to find this CD for my friends. Barnes and Noble did any excellent job in ordering and sending it to me. It was so great to know that it was still available thru a great book store as Barnes and Noble.

The CD was of excellent quality as any CD you would buy today. Just like listening to him all over again.
