Tough, Gritty, Jazzy and Dramaticby Anonymous

June 26, 2005: I think my headline says it all about this album. I believe the music here goes perfectly with the movie. Track four is a tough-guy kind of song, in my opinion. The first song on the disk is tough and gritty, giving one an idea of what Sin City is like. The rest is jazzy and dramatic, and at times adventerous. All in all, it's a good album and worth the money.

April 05, 2005: I've always loved the movie L.A. Confidential. It was very well put together, edited, filmed, etc., but the music was a bit lacking. Enter Sin City. The movie improves on the film noir and draws the audience into the comic book world, and amazingly the music is wonderful. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT expect to hear the music from the Sin City trailer—that's the instrumental version of the song "Cells" by a UK band called the Servant (If you want that song, run a search for "servant cells petition" and sign the petition to get an instrumental version of the song released). Aside from that minor disappointment, the music was wonderful. It complements the gritty feel of the film but manages to stand in its own right as a solid album. I definitely recommend it.
