About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Montreal-based mega-hitmakers Simple Plan launch their third studio album with a familiar mix of energy and commitment -- and a completely new sound that should shake up fans and the charts. Working with producers and collaborators such as Nate "Danja" Hills (Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado), Max Martin (Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson), and Dave Fortman (Evanescence), the band employ not just the pop-punk that made them famous, but also hip-hop, new wave, and even power ballads! December 04, 2008: In their third self-titled album, Simple Plan brings a more mature sound, while still keeping their original sound. Fans will not be disappointed; if anything, it will make them feel closer to the band. Simple Plan's songs talk about the usual -- heartbreak, being in love, and one softer ballad called Save You, about Pierre's brother who had cancer (which thankfully went away). I promise that it was well worth the 3 year wait.
