The third volume of Salsoul's 12" Gold Master Series features three versions of tracks that were either "previously unissued" or "previously unreleased," along with five other cuts that were either popular or rarely heard upon release. Highlights: Loleatta Holloway's "Love Sensation," Steve Arrington's "Summertime Lovin'," First Choice's "Double Cross." This series has DJs and hardcore Salsoul fans in mind, so beginners will be better off with any one of a couple dozen more-focused and representative sets. Keep in mind that plenty of Salsoul compilations have been released since the mid-'90s, so the rarities might not be so hard to come by anymore. Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
