February 10, 2009: The choice of artists incuding Slaid Cleaves was point on. The inclusion of Pete Seeger was inspired. For me, the readings of Woody's words between songs were the best part, and I hope that the listener realizes this and actually listens. Oddly the timing of the release is poignant as we approach an economic disaster that seems to be history repeating itself. We may well all become the Okies of the twenty first century; may as well take comfort from one who lived it.
