November 25, 2007: Christian Scott's debut record is beautiful. He brings jazz to the forefront of modern music by presenting its history through his life. The cover of Miles' amazing So What is interpreted beautifully, and Mr. Scott's own Like This will soon be a standard on par with Mr Davis' catalog. Don't be scared by the dirty electric guitar and hard hitting rhythm section, this is jazz and it is the future. For mind blowing jazz that will leave you starved in your soul, check out the progression from this record on his second, Anthem.

April 13, 2006: Despite the negative review on here, I just wanted to add some positive comments because this is a great jazz CD with an abundance of originality, tradition and talent. This is a trumpet jazz album for all jazz fans, I think Christian is a very talented jazz musician who has a big future.
