Contradictions that confound expectations of Ill Niño pop up throughout the band's debut disc. The gruesome cover and politically charged song titles imply a harder-than-thou thrash-fest that never materializes, as the band is one of the most sonorous of their ilk. At the same time, the Spanish surnames and band moniker implies gimmickry, but Ill Niño ain't a Puya; the Spanish lyrics and Latin flavor enhances without becoming overwrought. At times, Revolution Revolucíon seems almost too sedate, and it does fall into some of the usual rap-metal trappings in spite of itself, but overall this is an excellent debut for fans who lean more to the cerebral side of modern metallic endeavors. July 17, 2002: Ok this is one of the best CDs I have heard in a long time. It has awesome lyrics that really pull you into it! I got a bunch of my friends listening to it too I'd suggest this Cd to anyone who enjoys rock alternative.

September 25, 2001: This album is by far a must have!!!!!! I was waiting outside the music store the morning it came out and it was well worth it! The second it went into my Cd player, I went absolutely nuts! The lead singers vocals are killer and when he screams, it sends shivers down the spine, no lie! The latin beats mixing with the hardcore music makes this one of the best records of the year. It is truly is a unique sound that should not be missed. Check out Jersey's craziest band... YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
