About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Retrospective: The Best of Buffalo Springfield may not be definitive, but it's a good, basic overview of the group's career, containing most of the group's biggest hits and signature songs. Yes, several worthy album cuts are missing, but as a sampler, this works quite well, offering a nice introduction to the group. Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide

July 25, 2009: Buffalo Springfield was a great band but their albums had their fair share of fillers so if there was a band that needed a good retrospective it is this one. Unfortunately 12 songs just don't do the job, so while this hits package has the basics of the basics the CD needs to be expanded or a new retrospective needs to be made. As it is, owning the three Buffalo Springfield albums is too much, and this hits CD is too small.

Almost the definitive Springfield compilationby Anonymous

June 03, 2001: This album is great, and includes all their hits, but two tracks are missing: ''Questions'' and ''Flying on the Ground is Wrong''. Also, Richie Furay isn't featured enough on vocals. However, all that doesn't prohibit this album from being a wonderful listening experience. Stills & Young were as good then as in CSN&Y and their solo stuff. Highlights include ''For What It's Worth'', ''Bluebird'', ''On the Way Home'', and ''I Am a Child''. Any fan of folk- or country-rock would love this album.
